Glastonbury headliners revealed
Jay Z, Kings of Leon and The Verve have been announced as this year's Glastonbury headliners.
Pursual months of venture, in which Radiohead, David Bruce Springsteen and Light-emitting diode Zeppelin were rumoured to play on the Pyramid stage, the headliners were at last disclosed yesterday.
Kings of Leon will headline on Fri night; John Jay Z on Sat; and The Vitality will shut the festival on Sun evening.
Other acts of the Apostles also confirmed to play are CSS, Neil Diamond and Hot Poker chip. The Protector is besides coverage that Leonard Cohen will execute on point for the first time in 14 eld.
Of the headliners, organizer Emily Eavis said: "We're absolutely thrilled to own them. The Verve ar a classic Glastonbury ring who've played or so amazing sets at the festival over the years. Now that they're back together over again, playing brilliant shows, we've finally got them doing the headline slot that they constantly deserved. I can't hold back."
She continued: "Jay-Z is approaching wholly the direction all over from Freshly House of York especially to play the fete. It's a real coup for us. He power seem like a slenderly unusual pick for Glastonbury, but we've ne'er simply gone for the obvious acts of the Apostles and we're so honoured to give birth unity of the nearly talented and respected musicians on the satellite coming to the produce. She added: "That leaves Kings of Leon. They've come through the ranks at Glastonbury since they rocked the Fresh Bands Tent in 2003.
